BASELAYER to Attend and Speak at DCD San Francisco

As both creators and proponents of data centers that perform, BASELAYER is always ready to learn, collaborate, and share. That’s exactly what we’ll be doing at this year’s 15th annual Datacenter Dynamics (DCD) event in San Francisco, held June 25 and 26. BASELAYER is proud to be recognized as a Knowledge Partner at this year’s event and we’re very excited to be presenting a session to shed light on latency bottlenecks.

About the Event
While the focus of this year’s DCD event is data center for hyperscale and Silicon Valley start-ups, it also offers plenty for those in between as well. The conference is developed for stakeholders and technical teams that design, build, and manage the data demands of the zettabyte era. Throughout the two-day event, there will be over 40 hours of shared experiences as experts and thought leaders discuss what’s next in the world of data.

DCD Focus Day: Energy Smart
Energy Smart will be the topic for DCD Focus Day on June 25, featuring keynote speaker Robert Weisenmiller, Ph.D., of the California Energy Commission. Subjects covered will include smart cities, the Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data. The day ends with a panel discussion on data sustainability, a topic of much interest to BASELAYER and the clients we serve.

Multiple Tracks for All Professionals
On the 26th, attendees can choose from multiple learning tracks like Servers & Storage, Design & Build, Power & Cooling, and Open-Data Centers. There are also several roundtables scheduled so that attendees can hear from experts regarding the best methods of dealing with modern data center challenges.

BASELAYER’s Chief of Staff Leads Session on Addressing Latency in the 5G World
Under the Design & Build track, Samir Shah will present “Edge Infrastructure: Breaching the Bandwidth Bottleneck,” which will provide insight on overcoming latency bottlenecks in a world with an increased demand for content and the rise of 5G.

Samir said of the upcoming session, “It’s a great opportunity to delve into topics that are on the minds of any organization that’s concerned about latency in the face of growing demand. We’ll talk about site deployments that can address latency.”

This insightful session will provide attendees with new ideas for how to create an interdisciplinary approach to infrastructure. Be sure to attend at 11:50 a.m. in Hall 3.

Don’t Miss DCD San Francisco
This year’s DCD San Francisco is a premier event for the entire data center ecosystem. We look forward to networking with our peers and partners to discuss and share the latest and greatest in data center dynamics.
